A renovated 1960s island house turned 20-room boutique hotel on Hanga Roa's main street
Hare Nua, which means grandma's house, grew out of one of the few original houses left on Rapa Nui. The 1960s building has been fully renovated into a 20-room boutique hotel right on Hanga Roa's main street, so shops, restaurants and the sea are all within walking distance.
An organic breakfast is included, and there is an outdoor pool, a hot tub and a bar for the end of the day. The front desk can arrange tours, bikes, rental cars and massages. It is one of the best-rated stays in Hanga Roa, and Pea beach is about 700 m away.
