Rapa Nui open-fire grilling, ika mata and live music on Policarpo Toro
Hani Hani bills itself as Easter Island's first tunu ahi bar, grilling fresh local fish and meat over open fire every day. It sits on Policarpo Toro in the Hanga Roa O Tai area and draws residents as well as visitors. The house dish is ika mata, raw fish mixed with ceviches, fruit and tubers, alongside puka-puka chips made from green bananas.
Plates are designed for sharing, and local fruit, vegetables and tubers turn up in the cocktails too. Some nights bring live music and a traditional show.
