The Hanga Roa post office offers a collectible moai-themed passport stamp—purely decorative for most travellers, but a fun ritual before you leave.

At the local post office you may stamp your passport with a unique moai statues stamp. The stamp doesn't have any legal effect - it's just for fun! Obtaining a stamp is free of charge, though a small tip will gladly be accepted.

The post office is located below the municipality and the fire station, just below the crossing between Atamu Tekena (main street) and Te Pito O Te Henua (street below church).
